BRC AA+ Award for Belton Farm

Belton Farm has been awarded an AA+ Grade in global standards for food safety by the BRC (British Retail Consortium Global Standard).

BRC Global Standards is a leading brand and consumer protection organisation which ensure that manufacturers worldwide fulfil their legal obligations and they provide protection for the end consumer.

The BRC Global Standard focuses on HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) food safety programmes, quality management systems and the importance of management commitment, manufacturing processes, reducing exposure to food fraud and promoting greater resilience, transparency and traceability in the supply chain.

To be awarded an AA+ grade, Belton Farm received 3 minor non-conformances at an unannounced audit. Unannounced audits are used to test the audit readiness of a site and allows sites such as Belton Farm to become more accustomed to working in a way that is always audit-ready.

Justin Beckett, Managing Director, said, “we work hard to ensure every area of our business adheres to food safety standards and this accreditation shows that our efforts are paying off and our attention to detail is of the highest grade”.

“The Belton team understand the importance of food safety and this accreditation shows our commitment to providing the highest standards to our customers”.

“We’re thrilled to have achieved this AA+ Grade and its testament to the hard work and rigorous safety procedures we have in place and that our team implements in all areas of the business”.
